We Tripantu is the celebration of the Mapuche new year: around June 24, with the shortest day of winter, it marks the return of the sun and of new life.
In that spirit of renewal, the carnival school Escuela Carnavalera Chinchin Tirapié presents “We Tripantu y procesión fúnebre”, a musical show in three verses —Birth, Life and Death— with a brass band, percussion, dancers and masked characters.
