Shipwreck is an organic Cabernet Sauvignon from Viña Iolani, whose vines grow on the rocky foothills of the Andes, in the Comunidad Ecológica de Peñalolén, with natural fertilizer, spring water and handwork.
Its aging is unique in Chile: the bottles travel to the coast of the Atacama Desert, where divers and fishermen from the cove of Chañaral de Aceituno submerge them in cages 20 meters deep, at a constant temperature of 12 to 14 degrees all year round.
The bay, rich in microorganisms and famous for its whales, does the rest: corals, polychaetes, barnacles and algae cling to the glass, and every bottle comes out of the sea decorated in a unique, unrepeatable way.
